I started face painting in October 2014. I learned most of what I know from youtube and a short WEA course in Adelaide.
I have always been artistic, being a photographer and painting pictures for fun was where it all started. I also love working with young children and used to volunteer a lot of my time helping children with reading and doing photography workshops and community mentoring at various primary schools.
I put my love for art and children together and decided to become a face painter. I love to see the expressions on the children’s faces when they look in the mirror and see that they are now their favourite super hero or the animal they always pretend to be while playing games with siblings and friends.
Birthday parties are great fun! I also love those long 6 hour straights with line ups galore at the country shows. I have face painted at The Angaston, Tanunda and Mannum shows for the last 4 years and also been to Claire a few times and at all the Christmas Parades and parities around the Barossa Valley. Mount Barker Show was fun and The Gawler show was a hit too and would love to get back there again.
Thanks for checking out my page and I hope to be able to bring joy to your children through the art of face painting soon!
